About the Program

Our intensive adult program is offered at both our Santa Barbara and Los Angeles facilities. It combines the effectiveness of an accredited treatment program with the convenience of a flexible treatment schedule. Within the program are various modes of therapy and relief plans for every situation, substance, and behavior.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) runs 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, Monday–Friday, with flexible scheduling between 9:00 AM and 8:30 PM.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) runs 3 hours a day, 3–5 days a week, Monday–Friday, with flexible scheduling between 9:00 AM and 8:30 PM.

We Can Help

Common questions

How many days a week is partial hospitalization?

Programming runs five days a week through the middle of the day. Clients return home each evening rather than staying overnight.

Do I need a referral to start?

No referral is required. An admissions call is enough to begin, and we coordinate with an existing provider if you have one.

Is insurance accepted?

Most major carriers are accepted, and benefits are verified before admission so there is no guesswork about cost.

What happens after the program ends?

Every discharge includes a written continuing care plan. Many clients step down to the intensive outpatient program rather than stopping care outright, and that transition is arranged before the last day.

What should I bring on the first day?

A photo ID, your insurance card, and a current list of any prescriptions so the clinical team has it on file.

What if I need a different level of support?

Level of care is reviewed throughout treatment. Clients commonly step down to the intensive outpatient program, and that transition is arranged before the last day.

Is treatment confidential?

Everything discussed in treatment is protected health information. Nothing is shared without written consent, apart from the narrow exceptions the law requires.

How do I get started?

Call admissions. The first conversation covers what you are looking for, verifies your benefits, and schedules an assessment. There is no cost to ask.

Where are you located?

Mission Harbor serves Santa Barbara County and Los Angeles County, with a close working relationship with schools and hospitals in both regions.
